The Science
Researchers at Stanford University conducted a study in 2007, where two groups of people were given an exercise program (1). 50% of that group received weekly 'accountability' phone calls (where participants were called once per week to check on their progress), and the other 50% did not. The Stanford research showed a 59% increase in weekly exercise for those who received phone calls compared to those who did not.
Virginia Polytechnic University also conducted a similar study which showed that after 24 weeks, 63% of the participants receiving the weekly phone calls were still exercising, compared to just 4% of those who were not (2). Those who received the weekly phone calls were 1600% more likely to stick to their exercise program than those who did not!

Meet your coach, set goals
You will have an initial welcome call where you meet your coach and learn about the program
You will commit to a weekly diet and exercise plan with your coach
You will arrange a weekly time with your coach for them to call you and check on your progress

Daily Support Messages
You will get daily SMS reminders from your coach to keep you on track
Your coach will message you just before your planned workout times to remind and encourage you
They will send you motivational fitness quotes, facts and information throughout the week to keep you motivated

Weekly calls from your coach
You coach will call you once a week to check up on your progress and track your results
They will check if you did the workouts you planned and stuck to your meal plan in the previous week
If you had any stumbles they will talk with you about why it happened and help you create a plan to hit your goals for the following week
Frequently Asked Questions...
What time each week will my coach call me?
When you first register you tell us which times and days you are available to receive a call from your coach, and we then assign you a time block. Each week you will then receive a call from your coach at this time.
What if I miss the call?
No problem! If you miss the call your coach will attempt to call you back throughout the week at the times you specified you were available.
What will the coach ask me when they call?
Your weekly accountability phone call is all about supporting and encouraging YOU! Your coach will ask you about your exercise and diet for the last week, see if you were on track for the goals that you set and talk through any slip ups you had. Then you will set new goals for the coming week and plan for any potential road bumps coming up (parties, holidays etc.).
How long is each call?
We know you are busy, our aim is to deliver you the best results while taking up as little of your precious time as possible. The studies have shown that accountability phone calls only need to be very short to be effective, so your weekly calls will be 5-15 minutes long. Your coach will also keep in touch with you throughout the week with encouraging messages and reminders.
